How a charity gets proposed
Most of our smaller grants begin with an email from someone who knows a charity well. This is what happens next.

We do not run a funding round or an application portal. Most smaller grants start as a suggestion from a client or member of staff at Altor Wealth who knows a charity personally, has volunteered for it, or has been helped by it.
What we look for
The charity must be registered in the UK. We favour projects achieving two or more of our five aims at once, and we look for a large net impact relative to the size of the grant. For charities suggested by clients and staff we also simply ask: is it well run, and does the person proposing it know it well?
What to send
- The charity’s name and registered number
- What it does, in a paragraph
- Why you are suggesting it and how you know it
- Anything specific a grant would fund, if you know
